Fate (One Direction Fan Fiction)

Warning: This story may contain many harsh scenes and curse/swear words.

Meghan. Officially 18 years old. Dip-dyed brown hair.
I have something to say now, just a few words, and I think it can describe my horrible life story.

X Factor. One Direction. Best Friends. Caroline Flack. Betrayal. Love.
Those ten words will help you through my story.
The story, I will never regret telling to everyone, because this story? Its worth hearing, at least I think.
I hope you understand where I'm coming from, because if you don't, then stop listening.
Why did I mention Caroline Flack? She's my mother.
Meaning me? I'm Meghan Flack, her daughter. I was second placer in the X Factor, the same year One Direction was on it. They were my best friends until my mother had to ruin our relationship and they betrayed me saying the worst things, until one day, I bump into them, and I keep up my hatred for them. But there's a thin line in between love and hate. Will I be able to keep myself on the side of hatre

4. Same Mistakes

“What the hell are you doing here?!” I hissed quietly,

“We were invited,” Liam answered,

“By who?!”

“Milan, I think was her name.” he said,

“I’m going to kill her. And you.” I exclaimed,

I walked back to my best friends, Treanna and Claire. They were talking to each other in hushed tones.

Treanna had light brown hair, hazel eyes, and an hourglass figure at the height of 5'7.

Claire had red hair and blue eyes, she also had an hourglass figure and also the height of 5'7.

How ironic, we have the same figures and heights.

“Do you guys know anything about One Direction being here?” I asked,

“Um.. It was her!” they both exclaimed at the same time, pointing at each other.

"It's fine. Don't worry. Can we just ignore them for the rest of the party?" I asked,

"How can you possibly ignore One Direction when they're at your party?!" Treanna exclaimed,

"Um, you avoid them!" Claire said,

"But how?! They're practically scattered at every corner of the room!" Treanna fought,

"God, guys, shut up! I'm having a headache!" I said, holding my fingers up to my forehead, in frustration.

"Okay," they said,

"Well, just avoid them. If you have to talk to them, then go ahead, I don't care, really." I told them,

"Thank you!" they squealed as they hugged me,

"Just this once," I mumbled,

I walked over to the bar and ordered a shirley temple. You're probably wondering, she's 18 and legal to drink, why won't she drink any alcohol? Well you see, I'm not one to drink right away. I mean, I say bad words, but I don't drink because of that incident.

My order came and music started to play behind my back, just as I took the first sip,

"Circles, we're going in cirlces, dizzie's all it makes us, we know where it takes us, we've been before," a deep. husky voice sang, "Closer, maybe looking closer, there's more to discover, find out what went wrong without blaming each other,"

"Think that we've got more time, one more falling behind, gotta make up my mind," another voice, a familiar voice, sang,

"Or else we'll play, play, play all the, same old games, and we wait, wait, wait for the, end to change, and we take, take, take it for granted. That will be the same, but we're making all the same mistakes." Shit. I knew those voices! I quickly turned around to see the band, One Direction, singing and looking at me,

"Wake up, we both need to wake up, maybe if we face up to this, we can make it through this," Liam sang, "Closer, maybe we'll be closer, stronger than we were before, yeah, made this something more, yeah,"

"Think that we got more time, one more falling behind, gotta make up my mind," Zayn mused,

"Or else we'll play, play, play all the, same old games, and we wait, wait, wait for the, end to change, and we take, take, take it for granted. That will be the same, but we're making all the same mistakes. Yeah, yeah, that's what crazy is. When it's broken, you say there's nothing to fix. And you pray, pray, pray that everything will be okay. Why you're making all the same mistakes," they chorused, I actually found myself humming the tune. I immediately made my mouth shut itself, but it didn't listen and continued humming,

"Don't look back, but if we don't look back, we're only running babe, out of me, cause ain't this, same mistakes again." Liam's voice caroled,

"So we play, play, play all the same old games, and we wait, wait, wait for the, end to change, and we take, take, take it for granted. That will be the same, but we're making all the same mistakes, yeah, yeah. That's what, crazy is. When it's broken, you say there's nothing to fix. And you pray, pray, pray that everything will be okay. Why you're making all the same mistakes." They finished the song in perfect harmony, a round of applause following the performance,

I knew what this meant, they were trying to ask for forgiveness, but I didn't want to. I didn't want to forgive them or their bloody arses.

A few hours later, the party eventually subsided and all the guests had gone home. Me, Claire and Treana were on our way back home.

"Excuse me," I said as I ran to the bathroom the moment we had entered our home,

I grabbed a shirt and running shorts, and quickly changed, rubbing off the make-up and walking out the door.

"Hey Meghan," Claire said,

"Hi," I answered,

"Are you okay?" she said, looking at me glumly,

"I'm fine," I uttered,

But I wasn't,

"You're sure?" Treanna retreated,

"Yes," I lied,

I wasn't okay because I couldn't hold in the fighting anymore,

I wasn't okay because I didn't want to fight anymore,

But I had to fight.

Fight for my strength and my proper place.

Fight to be who I was before.
