Treasures Covered In Ink

so i thought i would start off with some poems.
Many of my poems turn out to be random, sensitive or confusing. But hopefully they'll be good enough for you to enjoy.

If you find that a poem is to sensitive please don't read it.

3. A parent's promise

I'm watching you giggle,

As I wipe sick off my shirt,

I'm watching you stumble over to me,

As i clap and cheer.

I'm watching you cry,

As i place you on the step,

I'm watching you sleep,

As i say goodnight.

I'm watching you cough

As I give you the medicine,

I'm watching you crash and burn,

As i wipe blood from the wound.

I'm watching you jump to the stage,

As i video it all,

I'm watching you struggle,

As i help you to understand.

I'm watching you worry over your apperance,

As i throw your childhood memeroies away,

I'm watching you stagger home late,

As i snap and swear.

I'm watching you have fun,

As i drive towards home,

I'm watching you love,

As i see you kiss.

I'm watching you frett and worry,

As i drop the pregnancy test,

I'm watching you cry out in pain,

As i call for help.

I'm watching you squeeze,

As i hold your hand,

I'm watching you watching,

As i touch my grandson.

I'm watching you take in a new lover,

As i huddle your child,

I'm watching you different jobs,

As i explain responsiblity.

I'm watching you come home late,

As i shush your son,

I'm watching you change,

As i cling on to the old you.

I'm watching you laughing,

As i stare at the ring,

I'm watching you say your vows,

As i wipe a tear away.

I'm watching your fight with your husband,

As i see your childs world torn apart,

I'm watching you finish your happy ending,

As i  hug your son close.

I'm watching you slip away,

As i throw the tablets and needles away,

I'm watching you scream behind bars,

As i feel no pride.

I'm watching you hug your son,

As i welcome you home and back into freedom,

I'm  watching you dance,

As i see men drowl.

I'm watching you slip back into the darkness,

As i keep your son in the light,

I'm watching you sell yourself,

As i tuck your child into bed.

I'm watching you hover near death,

As I ease the pain,

I'm watching you give your last breath,

As i hold you tightly.

And now you're gone,

I watch your child scream for you at night,

As I dry my eyes.

But all that time I watched you,

Did I ever tell you I loved you?!
