*Zayn’s POV*

I was walking down the street to the next train station, humming along to my iPod.

It was maybe about 10:30pm, and there were very little people around. I wasn’t very familiar with the area, but I tightened my grip on my book bag, and pressed forward until I found a place to eat.

I entered the McDonald’s and quietly order my food, since there were only about 2 other costumers in the place, it made it feel kind of eerie.

I walked out of the place with my hamburger in one hand and spare change in the other. After a couple of minutes of walking and eating, I got the sensation someone was behind me, but as I turned around I saw no one. Probably my eyes playing tricks on me, I haven’t slept in an awfully long time. I thought to myself as I continued my way down the street.

“Hey kid.” I knew it, I turned around quickly to see a heavy built man standing there. “Y-yes, sir?” I asked, trying to hide my fear, since this man didn’t look very friendly. “Give me your bag.” He demanded, his voice was booming. I couldn’t let him take my bag; it has everything I need to get to Ariel in it. “No.” I told him. I felt so small compared to him, but I wasn’t simply just going to give him my bag. “WHAT.” He said more as a statement than a question.

Making a last minute decision, I took of sprinting as face as my legs were capable of moving. Unfortunately it wasn’t fast enough, within what seemed like a few feet, the man had effortlessly caught up with me.  He grabbed my shoulder and spun me around, my face colliding with his hand. I let out a shocked breath, as I struggled to maintain my balance. The burger I once held was tossed, and I slipped to the ground. “I will repeat it one more time. Give. Me. Your. BAG.” He shouted a few inches from my face just close enough to where I could smell his scummy breath. Disgusting. With the adrenaline pumping through my veins, I punched the man right smack in the nose. I could tell I had done some severe damage, because it was now bleeding and in an awkward shape. Bingo. Broke his nose. I forcefully escaped the man’s grip, and took off once again. But this time he stayed behind gripping nose, and not bothering to show anymore toughness as loud swears were shouted in my direction. I let out a laughed, and smirked.

The adrenaline wore off and I felt the pounding pain in my face. Right where the man had punched me. I lifted my hand up to my face, and felt how much it was swelling. I sighed and dealt with the pain. The train station was in sight anyways.

I’m still coming, Ariel.
