Random Thoughts of Elegant Intrigue

A book of random poetry. A selection of short poems that I have scribbled over the years. These are from a book I call 'the orange book' for obvious reasons. I hope you enjoy them!

8. My Dying Friend, Flower

Proving I'm a mess,

Under fifteen feet of distress,

Finding rhymes on a turnstile,

Treating words as my exile,

Infusing jaded memories with misspent resent;

The petals all fell from my dying friend, Flower.

No perfect spring shower,

Could cleanse these sad hours.

Losing faith in all others,

My own truth they smother,

In hopes that no lucid respite from another,

Will avenge this soiled spring
