Have you ever wondered what it would be like to fly. Fly to a far away world and never come back. Emily did. Her life was at rock bottom and was never going to be picked back up again. Until she met someone. Someone who would change her life forever. When she finds who and what he his her life is fine. Until the pain kicks in and changes her too...

2. The New Start

It had been a week since I came to this rainy and miserable place. It was halfway through the year, great. Everyone would be laughing and pointing. Whispering behind my back.

The car had pulled up in front of the Georgian house. We weren't alone. A 18 year old boy sat on the concrete steps on the porch. With the sound of our truck his head snapped up and a large toothy grin appeared on his face.

"Emily! I haven't seen you in... Well in forever really." He had to shout over the grumble of the truck.

"Who is this?" I had asked Debra before she turned the car's engine off. I shouldn't of asked, the boy answered that as soon as I had stepped out of the junk pile of a car.

"It's Anthony, Anthony Flint. Remember we played when you came down here for the summer when I was 4 and you were what like 2?"

The memory had flooded back to me as soon as he said my name. I was secretly forcing down the feeling that I was drawn to him in a way that I had rarely felt before. He had in his hand a set of car keys which much have belonged to the spare Nissan truck which was parked in front of the house.

"Your welcome home present sweety." my aunt had said while she squeezed and rubbed my shoulder.

"What-I- you got me this! Thanks so much Debra! Who bought it?" I had questioned.

"I actually built it, do you like it?" He had piped up. Wanting to not sound like he wasn't there. I stood there, fascinated that this boy could have created such a machine.

The memory ended when there was a small tap on the window. How did I get here so fast? I didn't recognise him, how would I know anyone here?

"Hello, excuse me I'm Eleanor Mittish. I am the new student guide to the school you could say. What is your name?" Her chirpy voice was like a pin being dug deeper and deeper in to my skin. A pain. I reluctantly climbed out of the car, grabbing my bag at the last minute. She smiled like she cared underneath. She probably didn't.

"Here is you lesson schedule and who you have with them and also your pass just in case you get lost. Hope you have a nice day." she had chirped through her fixed 9 mile smile. Her last words were spoken quickly as she hurried to first lesson. I looked down at the timetable, suddenly not so eager any more, looking to what 'exciting' lessons were planned for me. Science first with a Mr Fully. I wondered what that was for. Fully Mad? Only one way to find out. Look out school, here I come.
