Have you ever wondered what it would be like to fly. Fly to a far away world and never come back. Emily did. Her life was at rock bottom and was never going to be picked back up again. Until she met someone. Someone who would change her life forever. When she finds who and what he his her life is fine. Until the pain kicks in and changes her too...

10. Death Sentence

There was a knock on my door. I didn't move. It opened a little, Edward stepped in. His posture was different when he was around me. He looked prepared in a way I didn't like. He was the lion, but when we were near he acted like a gazelle. Ready to jump out of my reach. Skittish was the only word I could find for him.

"This came for you." he had said for to quickly while he was plucking up the courage to hand my the envelope. He half threw it at me and was out the door before I realised what he had said. I ripped the envelope to shreds, I hoped it was from Henry saying that he was coming back to me and that he was sorry. I hadn't heard from him in days. I couldn't have been more wrong.

Dearest Emily,

I am writing to tell you of my current understanding of us. I have been told by a source, which is rather fond of you, about what has happened during through the past month. On how you have joined us and how he was devastated that you had. I am interested on how Henry came to this decision and joined me, so in relation to this move I will be coming within the next 4 days to see this previous legend come true. I will bring Henry if you wish and also my other friends and relatives to see you.

All the best,

I screamed with the pain. It was quicker than before, before I new it I was howling and had fallen to the earth outside the house. The window above was shattered and pieces littered themselves around me. Amy ran out of the door to me, her face was red from anger. Then was a gasp up from the bedroom and voices were chatting away.

"Emily how cou-" Amy had started to shout at me but Richard had cut her off.

"Amy, be calm. Henry has," he took in a deep breath as if not to say the devastating words, "he has gone with Ryan. They are coming for her."

Amy only gasped, she had turned for me but I was running. I didn't know where and I didn't know how long I would be gone, but I had to clear my head. As I left Richard had been the only one to understand my pain.

"Let her go Amy. Let her go." was all he said. I ran, my paws keeping a steady rhythm in the forest. Henry was running with me. Until I killed him.
