L'Ombra della Vendetta (The Shadow of Vengeance)

L'Ombra della Vendetta is a fanfiction about World of Warcraft.
Don't feel discouraged from its length, the story seems huge but is actually pretty short. I hope you'll give it a try.

This is a work of fantasy. The entire world where it takes place is owned by Blizzard Entertainment.
This story and its main characters are products of the author’s twisted imagination.

Its content may be not suitable for sensitive people, because it contains acts of violence even towards defenseless people.

5. Chapter 5

The sun hadn't finished yet to shine over the lands of Northrend, when her horse was literally flying over the Tundra. Her mind was still obsessed by the murder committed few minutes before. She did it, she already killed two of them, and the third one was on her way. Blood, blood everywhere. Dripping from the tauren's neck. Dripped to her hands. Dripping on Astrid's hands. She missed her. She couldn't think about her, without having tears oozing from her eyes. Bloody tears. She didn't know why, but since that day her eyes, her body were forever linked to that horrible color. That color which dyes her hair, like a curse, every time she thinks about vengeance. About her Astrid. The color that soiled her body, when she saw her for the last time. The color that stain her victims, when they fall lifeless to the ground. The color that reminded her of war, the same war in which the world had recently fallen into, where the mercenaries didn't have neither smell nor color instead... And she knew the perfect place where they were looking for volunteer soldiers willing to defend Azeroth's lands. Which, coincidentally, was exactly where the Ratchet's goblin told her she could have found the next victim of her justice.

Her horse, black as the night itself, was running. She would rather wait a day or two and move at night, but she had to hurry, Kirin Tor's mages were extremely effective in solving problems, Violet Hold rised as a proud monument of Dalaran's justice. But once she left Northrend, she could disappear like shadows in the light. And before her, there was now only the ocean.
