3. Practices, final touches and details...

We had chosen the food but we still had to choose: the cake, colour themes, name places, table settings, music, table sittings.
So Ellie and I went to a wedding cake shop and decided it would be plain sponge, with a tower of five heart sponges covered in white icing and on the top sponge would be the groom carrying the bride, the figures looked alot like the couple. Also on the top layer they would be standing on light pink icing.
The next day we went to a coffee shop and looked at the sample book of colour themes and picked out that at the ceremony everything would be white including the roses across the arch, but pink and red flower petals would accompany the white ones along the aisle. At the reception at the hotel room there would be white table cloths, with white red and pink flowers in each vase plus a candle on each round table of eight. There would be 15 tables of eight plus the long table of fifteen on the head table with the bride, groom, maid of honour, four bridesmaids, our mother, Jack's parents, Jack's bestman who was his cousin, Jack's sister, Jack's brother, our grandmother and Jack's grandfather.
Next was the music, Ellie had made the decision that her first dance would be to 'Can you feel the love tonight?' by Elton John, the bouquet toss would be to 'Run the World Girls' by Beyonce and there would be a lot of pop songs and Ellie's and Jack's favourites.
We managed to juggle around people so they would know someone in their table and everything would go down well, it took us three hours but it finally got done.
