Life Lessons

This is a Movella filled with life lessons. It's not a story, or full of poems. It is simply full of what I've learnt from life, and what others have learnt.

3. Don't Overload Yourself

This subject is another one that I have first hand experience with. Overloading yourself- don't do it. I know how tempting it is to do every single thing that you possibly can, cramming your schedule to bursting point. But please, please, please, think before taking on a mountain, thinking it's a mole hill.

School is one of many times I've overloaded. I wanted to do all the clubs I could, learn two instruments and take early GCSEs, but I fell at the final hurdle- and we'll leave it at that. Looking back on it now, I can see why I fell over. I had way too much on my plate and got stressed. I stopped focussing on what's important and was too busy panicking about other stupid things.

This school year, I'm cutting down on everything, only taking on responsibilities I know I can continue, and making sure that I focus on what is really important. School work is more important than boys (I know this is a bit hypocritical, but I am going to try and go the whole hog on this boy detox now), extra-clubs and being popular. Try and look into the future- that boy you've fantasized about, he won't be there. Those girls you were always out to impress, they won't even be friends with each other, let alone be friends with you, and the extra-clubs, they might be helpful, but attending ten clubs a week is just too much.

So guys, I'm hoping that you are taking some of these things I'm writing on board. Because I know how hard it can be, trying to do everything, dealing with death and being too scared to say what you really mean.
