Life Lessons

This is a Movella filled with life lessons. It's not a story, or full of poems. It is simply full of what I've learnt from life, and what others have learnt.

17. Don't Feel Lame if You Spend Loads of Time at Home

I don't feel lame. I spend LOADS of time at home. And to be honest, I would much prefer to have a weekend to myself, doing what I want, lazing around and looking sloppy than going out every single weekend and seeing a million and one people. But that's just me. I''m quiet and shy and I like to spend time by myself.

As you get older and hit exams, social time will have to be sacrificed for revision, because as we all know, revision is important to getting good grades. If you spend a good, solid weekend on revision, you will feel amazing. As if you've accomplished something.

And if your 'friends' make plans and don't invite you, then at least you know where you stand. Chances are, if they do that a lot, then your weekends are way more fun anyway. I have to say, a weekend of reading, movies, sweat pants and ice cream is way better than going to see some lame-ass movie at the cinema or wandering around town in the freezing cold.

Home means family, too. Family time is awesome. Granted, families can be seriously annoying, but family time is so precious. You can make so many memories from just spending an afternoon with your family than a day shopping. (And that means a lot, coming from me, the queen of shopping and retail therapy addict).

So, to round off, staying home is awesome. Don't diss it. And don't feel lame if you don't go out all the time.
