The Guardian Angel

Sixteen year old Caitlynn lost both her parents and her younger brother in a car accident. She has now been adopted by her aunt and uncle. She is looking forward to a hard life, but what happens when she meets Tedd, a kind but quite weird boy, and the mysterious Audrey, who tells her a story about different worlds, a kingdom, angels and God?

Note: I put the chapters up as pages - so each chapter is approximately one page in my Word document. AND, sorry for typos and mistakes - I rarely look back at it, so please forgive me.

“Okay, let’s get down to business. You can sit down in the corner with Caitlynn.” He said, already sounding very tired.

I ask you again, what are you two doing here? I demanded to know.

You said school was hell. Thought we might as well brighten it up a tad. Audrey answered as he sat down at the table in front of me.

He got ahold of me last night and did some kind of magic, so now we’re. Awesome, don’t you think? Tedd told as he sat at the table beside me, a broad grin on his face.

Well, it’s totally worth it to see the girls’ reaction. I think both of you just broke their hearts by sitting next to me. I said, looking at the girls with a sly grin at the looks of pure hatred they sent me, but changed to crazy-girl flirting when they looked at either Audrey or Tedd.

Damn dem girls looks like some crazy x-girlfriends. Tedd said and both Audrey and I had to fight to keep back laughter.

That lesson went on as good as it could possibly have been. Using our mind-talk, we talked each other through the class. The break was different.

I had been talking normally to Tedd when I had to go to the restroom. The restrooms was quite far from the classroom, but honestly, I would rather not have the guys walking me there like guards. So I convinced them that I was fully capable of going by myself, and then went ahead. When I was washing my hands, a voice suddenly demanded my attention. Behind me, I could see in the mirror, stood at least 5 of the girls from the class. I knew that whatever was going to happen now, it would not be very pretty.

“What do you think you are doing?” said one of them, a tall blonde one, the one I was pretty sure was the leader of the pack.

“Right at the moment, I am washing my hands and converting Oxygen into Carbon dioxide.” Sassy Caitlynn. The girl frowned and looked like I was a toad on her sidewalk.

“You know what I mean. Why do you sit and talk to the new guys like you own the world?” she said. “Nobody gave your permission to that, and I think it is quite obvious that they think you’re annoying, but is way too polite to say it. So lay off them!” Se hissed at me and I couldn’t help but laugh. This was ridiculous.

“Well, for your information, I’ve known them for, like, 4000 years.” Not even kidding, but I couldn’t really tell her that it wasn’t literally. “So I think they would tell me. Now, if you world please excuse me…” I said, trying to squeeze through them, but blocked. I felt goose bumps on my spine, along the area of the still-present ashen color. My ribs started to hurt, only slightly, but I knew the signs. This was going to be bad.

“I don’t believe you. Sit on your knees and tell me that you are sorry.” Her voice was cold as ice, but there was no way in hell I was going to do that, so I kept on trying to get past, until one of them pushed me so violently that I fell on my butt on the hard floor. I got up again, but I refused to call Audrey for help. I could take cake of a bunch of bullies by myself.
