4. Parents!

I found my car and pilled all my belongings in, I had missed German, I decided I would call Maggie later and see if we got homework and make up the excuse that I felt ill. I checked my dashboard for the time 14:32, school didn’t end until three and my parents, or whoever was in wouldn’t be expecting me until half three because of the journey home. So I decided to do some food shopping, I went to the closest shop and around it was a market so I brought four large fish a bunch of potatoes. I took my time to walk back to the car and received a bunch of funny looks from pass-a-bys but didn’t really care and took my seat back in the car, I started the engine and drove to the nearest park. I sat in the car and locked all the doors and finished some English homework I had been meaning to do and finished the chapter of my last book. After forty minutes of being cramped up in the car, I stretched my legs. Luckily I saw no-one. I got home in perfect timing, the luck was in my favour, I guess it was about time, no-one was in. I rummaged around placing the food in the cupboards and found a note resting on the side, it read:

Dear Julie,

Popped out to pick your father out from the train station. Dinner in the oven for eight? Thanks a lot,

Mum xx

I sighed and forced a smile on my face.  Dad was coming home; most daughters of rich millionaires should be jumping around with glee when their rich daddy comes home with lots of presents. But I didn’t, normally he would come home with a new girlfriend and a new unbearable hair cut and still doesn’t care about me and mum. Mum was good around him, she was brave and strong, but when I was little I used to sneak into her bedroom at night and curl up with her until she stopped crying, but I hadn’t done that in a while! I rummaged around and decided to get ready with the cooking as I had nothing else to do, I turned up the radio and stewed the potatoes’ and curled up with a magazine and awaited my parents arrival.
