Guide to common birds in Greater London

I'm sorry that the area is so specific but I only really know about birds that me or someone else in my family have seen.
I doubt anyone will bother to read this but..... If you do and you know of another bird that I could add then please comment and tell me.

2. Great tit (Parus major)

Description:The great tit is very similar to the blue tit. However, It's plumage is duller, more like that of a juvenile. They are the largest tits in the UK with dark yellow breasts, olive green backs, blue wings and tails much like a Blue tit, but they have a glossy black head contrasting with striking white cheeks.

Juveniles look almost exactly like juvenile blue tits but they have darker heads and  greener wings.

Habitat: Great tits are common in parks, gardens, woodland etc throughout the UK. They are residents so can be seen at any time of year.

Status:LC (Least Concerned)
