22. I hate Mondays.

Verity had tried to talk to me all weekend and I had (rudely I admit) ignored her. At the start I felt bad, but over time the anger grew inside me bubbling and boiling and now I am afraid that should I let her talk to me something very bad will happen.

As I walk through the school gates a large crowd descends on me, faces I recognize : faces I don't. I smiled and chatted to them all, particularly Damien and Jordan - the only gay couple I knew.  Cassie arrived late as usual and clung onto my arm as we fought our way through the crowd to reach the restrooms. Hurriedly in the quiet of the Corridor I explained all that had come to pass between my sisters and my family, Cassie listened wide eyed and patient.

"Sounds like you need a fake boyfriend." She said after a few seconds thought - in a tone of voice which suggested that she already had a plan forming.

I opened the door to the restroom and there surprise surprise stood Zoey and her clan of 'friends'.

"Heyyyyy freaks!!" She beamed with a menacing expression plastered on her fake tanned face and painted lips, which were poised into the shape of a ducks beak.

"You can share a cubicle if you want, we won't tell."

At which point her minions burst into a raucous of cackles and screeches. Cassie looked at me with an expression of fear on her face I shared the same feeling but I couldn't let her see, I could not let Zoey win - not this time.

"Don't mind if I borrow your lipstick Emma?"

Emma slowly shook her head and with a confused glance handed me her candy pink lipstick. Chantelle and Elise gave Emma an evil glare which suggested she wasn't meant to do that, I smile at Zoey.

"I think your lipstick has smudged, here let me help you!"

Before she can react, I lunge forward and smear Emma's Lipstick across Zoey's face, then step back to admire my artwork. Her minions cannot contain their laughter.

Yeah Zoey, you have amazing friends.

Quickly and swiftly I grab Zoey's collar and pull her to me making sure none of her 'friends' see my arm moving. Then I press my lips to hers and push her away...

"WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!" I yell, pushing her away.

The laughter has stopped now, Zoey's ex-'friends' glare at her in shock and horror. Before grabbing their bags and coats the leave the restroom so it is just me, Cassie and Zoey.

"You see how it hurts Zoey?" I spit before grabbing Cassie's hand and pulling her away.

The news of Zoey's 'attempt' at kissing me spread like a virus through a computer system and I have to admit shamefully...

I am proud of my work.
