The Underwater Fairground

Angel looks like, talks like, walks like and is like a human. Wrong. Mermaid. Mer. Maid. Simples. They don't have tails, they don't go around singing and they most definitely don't have pet fish with cutesy pie names. The only difference between her and us is the fact that she can stay underwater for days at a time. She's cheeky, mischievious and likes to cause a little havoc...

3. Chapter 1

Follow the freeway

Break the routine

Cause everything is second to your dreams

This is the green light

Take what you need

And break out of this hospital scene

I'm running through a stop sign

Cuttin' out the brake lights

I don't want to slow slow slow slow down down

I'm running through a stop sign

Living so it feels right

I don't want to slow slow slow slow down down

Don't wanna slow it down Drifting in and out of sleep. Ignore the alarm. In and out. Ignore the alarm. In and - crash bang wallop. Face meet floor. There goes my hopes of going back to sleep! I can't ignore it now! As I begin the gruelling task of actually removing myself from my floor, I get ready to face the sea storm that was probably brewing right now. I am on land when I was meant to be at 'home' meeting the fishf*ck Carter. This really isn't going to go down well, which is why I'm going down to the other side of town to visit this place that I love. It's like the centre of town, but only certain people are allowed in there, as foretold by the large sign on the notice board. If my alarm is going to go off at an ungodly hour, I'm going to be ungodly annoying to the d*ck that thinks he's my father. Time to get my skates on! I jump into some clothes and slide down the banister to the kitchen, where I slip on my DC's and sort out some breakfast...WAFFLES! Slinging some strawberries and blueberries over them, I enjoy the warm caress of the sun coming through the window as I tuck into my food. It crosses my mind that the place where I am heading is possibly the most beautiful place to be, the streets are litter free and clean, the sun always shines there and it sells the most gorgeous dresses at the market stalls. I wash up the plate and dry it, placing it in the cupboard and leave. As I close the door, I smile at the fact that I'm going to be doing the thing I love, and may be causing a bit of havoc at the same time...Good luck if they think they can catch me.
