Wind Kill The Rain

The night Molly was killed, she discovered another world which lead her into many surprises, like meeting drop dead gorgeous Carl, an angel from Heaven. But when she meets Dean, a secretive, handsome being also in Heaven, she is torn between the two, even if she doesn't show it. Then Dean shares his secret with her. After Molly's reactions, she realises that part of the war between Heaven & Hell is her fault. Who will take victory over their enemy?

7. Chapter Six

My first class is Science. Apparently, we have to observe the angel form and the devil form. Yay. This Angel College is more like a high school. Lessons and bells and a scary last year. Maybe they call it Angel College because high school freaks everyone out.

I’m sat in the middle row of chairs, on the left side, that is, if you’re facing me. Carl and his mates are at the back. All the nerdy looking ones are sat at the front, hanging onto Mr Isma’s every word. My book is staring at me, almost daring me to open it and discover the world of BORING!

“Molly Rivers, is it...can you tell me what this says.” Mr Isma said. It wasn’t a question, it was an order.

I snapped out of my thoughts. I squinted at the chalkboard. Mr Isma had drawn a full diagram of an angel. Without thinking, I got up and started walking slowly to the chalkboard. I approached the board, only a foot away from it. I helped myself to a stick of white chalk.

“Well.” I huffed.

I began writing the obvious features of an angel onto the board, arm, leg, head... Then I started on the joints... knee, elbow, ankle... I finished almost ten minutes later with a full skeleton of an angel, including wings. I turned to face the rest of the class, who sat open mouthed, staring at me.

“Wrong!”Mr Isma’s voice rang like an alarm bell.

“Sorry for only dying yesterday!” I say, sarcastically.

“Nice try.” Mr Isma replied, giving me a mean look.

I strode back to my seat. Oh well, I tried. One of the nerds from the front row rose next, and, obviously, got all the answers right, completing the diagram. I daydreamed for the rest of the lesson, a little embarrassed. Pretending to be smart to fit in isn’t really the way to go about things. Only the sound of the bell disrupted me.

On the way out, I desperately didn’t want to bump into annoying Gwen and certainly not Carl.

“Hey.” An uncomfortably warm hand slid down my back.

“Yes?” I replied, turning round to face him.

“I would’ve said that answer was right.”

“Yeah, because your my so called guardian.”

I swung round, deliberately hitting Carl with my bag.

“I’m sorry I was acting like a git earlier, my mates are a lot different to me, they leave an effect on people, is what I’m trying to say...”

“Forgiven, now, what about tonight, can I come to your practise.”

“Sure! Any rules?” Carl smiled.

“Yes, I don’t want the false Carl.”
