hello, I am Martha.

This idea has been brewing in my mind for sometime now, and, i havent found the time to get pen and paper and write; Martha-Lee Jones has been mute since the age of 4, no one knows why and, no one has heard her speak (apparently). However when a new headmistress comes to Martha's school along with her son, martha feels the need to talk to this boy but how can she? Her mid is her prision and it has held her voice there for almost 10 years, but, will her prison hold for much longer or will the walls break and tumble? Is martha finally free?

9. Robin- Library

Martha didn't show up to the library.

Now, I believe I am fooling myself, Martha didn't talk, I imagined it.

I straighten up as she steps into the cafeteria queue behind me, she leans in next to my ear and whispers;

"I must apologize for not showing up to the library. My mother went into labor, I have now a baby sister."

I allowed myself a small smile, but, my brain was still telling me that this was all a dream, however I still had to reply.

"Your very well spoken aren't you?" I say. She laughs quietly, then I realize I am talking out loud and, half the cafeteria are looking at me.

"You have bright pink ears." She whispered.

"it happens when I am embarrassed" she gave me a look that was questioning me why I was embarrassed "Yeah, I sort of convinced myself that you talking was a dream. Anyway, what gender?" I ask making sure to whisper this time.

"The baby is a girl, her name is Melody, you may come and meet her, if you wish?"

I nodded. Then just I was about to ask where to meet, she said where and when.

"In the forest, shall we say 6?"

I nod again, this time if Martha doesn't show up I am dreaming. I confirm in my head.
