This is How it Was Meant To Be

This is a story about four girls - Willow, Janice, Tayla and Sofia - whose lives are interconnected, even though they don't realise it. Each of these girls unknowingly help each other out with what they crave for the most! This is a story I wrote to show how everything we do affects the people around us. Please read :)

3. Tayla

I am a desperate, anti-social, low-life loner with an annoying habit of stuttering when I'm around people. And oh, I'm also a self-hater.

I know, I know. I shouldn't go around hating myself like that, I should try and change myself, blah blah blah ... yeah, I get that a lot from my family. But it's easy for them and everyone else to say. Honestly, there's nothing I can do about my stupid life now. I'm always going to be the social outcast, bullied by everybody I meet.

Especially Willow Jones.

Argh! Even thinking about her gives me shudders. That icy cold stare and that bleached platinum-blonde silky mane, the solipsistic smile forever stuck on her malicious face ... her mere presence is enough to make me want to hide in a hole for the rest of my life.

Ever since we first met, Willow has taken up an interest in me, following me everywhere, bullying me just for the fun of it. She likes to do it in public, usually, and it doesn't help that the rest of the school guffaws at her lame jokes about my tiny physique, my soppy clothes or my choppy hair. It's worse when she's in a bad mood. And lately, she has been in a pretty bad mood.

I escaped her torture today only narrowly. She's looking like an enraged bull these days. People say it's because her best friend Kerrie just dumped her for some reason. Who wouldn't? She was a pathetic self-obsessed loser. I can't believe that Kerrie even tolerated her for this long. She walked right past me, muttering things about friendship and jerky guys under her breath and I just managed to slip into the crowd in time to avoid her. Thank heavens she didn't notice me today. But I don't think I can hold up for long. A volcano like her is likely to erupt any day soon.
