The Diamond Jubilee

A little poem to celebrate the Queen's diamond jubilee, and all about the ruler of the common wealth and also about how she's also a mother. Sister. Auntie. Grandmother, like every strong woman out there.

1. The Diamond Jubilee

She is our figure of red, white and blue,

And a mother, grandmother, daughter too.

It is her celebration of reign,

Our leader, our monarchy, the Queen.

Our Queen with her corgis and a crown,

The woman behind our country and town.

She lives in Buckingham palace, that's the place where she leads,

The place where the Queen fulfils her duties.

She is our figure of red, white and blue,

And a mother, grandmother, daughter too.

It is her celebration of reign,

Our leader, our monarchy, the Queen.

It is time to celebrate our Britain,

Our Queen who got us through times of pain.

Her diamond jubilee is a celebration,

Of street parties by the nation.

She is our figure of red, white and blue,

And a mother, grandmother, daughter too.

It is her celebration of reign,

Our leader, our monarchy, the Queen.

Our British rock, a figure of health,

To all of us in the commonwealth.

So we need to celebrate her 60 year mark,

A sparkling great diamond of Elizabeth's Jubilee.
