2. First Day

I look out the window as we arrive in Bathurst, it looked cold outside the clouds were grey and completely covering the sun. We drove past the school, there were kids outside sitting in groups talking, eating, play fighting, they seemed like normal teenagers. I have no idea what I’m in for. We arrive at the new house, mum was right it is beautiful. Dad’s not home right now, he might not be for a few days. He has to fly out to other places for work and stuff like that, it doesn’t bother me I guess. Mum shows me were my room is as she starts babbling on about my first day of school tomorrow and how I’m going to love it and be thankful because I’m going to get a good education and have lots of friends. I just ignored her and walked into my room. I was not looking forward to school tomorrow at all.

Mum’s showing me the uniform, a white polo shirt with a black high waist skirt and a grey over coat. I don’t mind it its quite nice. That doesn’t mean I want to go to the school. I snatch the uniform out if her hands as I walk into my room to get changed, the uniform looks alright on I suppose but I don’t want to start today. Mum drives me to school and on the way there she asked me the strangest thing.

“You're not going to regret this are you?”  How could she ask me this it isn’t my choice!

“I don’t even want to go to the stupid messed up school!”

“You haven’t even started yet how do you know it’s stupid and messed up?”

Mum stopped the car at the gate and I just stared at her.

“Have a nice day Tamara!”

I got out of the car and walked into the front office I noticed my hair wasn’t very neat as I saw my reflection in the outside window but I walked through anyway.

“Hi my names Tamara Jayla Jordan it’s my first day, I was wondering were I start?”

The lady handed me a timetable and directed me to the room down the hall. I walked there and knocked on the door. A blonde haired skinny lady opened the door.

“Hi I’m...” she cut me off.

“Tamara! Welcome!” a student stepped out beside her, “I’m principle Charity, and this is our head girl Lyric.”

“Hi nice to meet you,” I shook lyrics hand, she had beautiful red hair which was all teased up at the back, she was tall and had a very good looking figure. “Would you like me to show you around the school?”

Principle Charity nodded and I agreed and smiled, we walked out of the office. Lyric showed me where all my classed were, and where the library is, then she showed me the girls bathroom, she walked inside and I followed her in to find another four girls in there waiting.

“Girls this is Tamara, shall we start?” she looked at me and smiled, “Tamara this is Felicity, Kyra, Katrina and Lauren.” Felicity was blonde blue eyes, shorter then Lyric but still tall considering, she had her hair tied back and long black tights on pressed against her legs they looked like they could of been two sizes too small. Kyra looked almost exactly the same as Katrina they both had mid brown hair and really long legs, which they were clearly wearing a skirt to show off, both had dark brown eyes but Kyra’s face is bonnier then Katrina’s. And Lauren, well oh my... her hair was blonde on top, black underneath, teased to the max. She has hazel eyes and really, really tanned skin.

“What are you starting?” I ask them.

“Were going to ask you several questions depending on your answers depend on how well you go at this school, we just want to be your friends.” Lauren’s smile as she said this told me that something wasn’t right.

“I’m leaving. I can choose my own friends thanks.”

Lyric shot an evil look at me then at Felicity. Felicity grabbed my arm and pulled me back as I started to walk away, she pushed me against the bathroom wall and Kyra and Katrina held me there.

“What are you doing?!” I screamed for help but Kyra shoved her hand over my mouth.

“You want to watch who you choose your friends to be, Tamara,” shivers went down my spine as Lyric lent in and was staring straight into my eyes, she was only a good five centimetres away from me then she kept talking, “because this is my school and no new girl is going to change that.”

Kyra and Katrina let me go and all the girls laughed as they walked out of the bathroom. I fell to the ground, trying to hold back the tears in my eyes. This school is horrible and I don’t want to be here. I ring mum and ask her to come pick me up.
