30. Silent Melody

First I'll start off with a word of sorry to readers that I haven't done my entires quite often...)=

Anyways, today's author in Silent Melody. When you visit her page, this phrase catches your eyes quite quickly:

"Funny when your dead, how people start listening..."

Then she introduces two of her SNS pages.

Silent Melody  has been on here for quite a long time: since August 21, 2011.  She has published 29 movellas on this site, each one giving awesome quality(: Today I'll give you a simple review on one of them called "Julia and Juliet".

This is what she writes for the resume of the book: "We write the year 1885 in London, England. Here we follow the 17 year old girl Elizabeth Perry who lives with her strict mother, a father who is rarely home. While her older sister is already married to the rich Thomas Pitt and her younger sister has found interest in Charles Smith, a perfect match since he's a real gentleman and the Smiths and Perrys have been friend a long time, Elizabeths interest lies somewhere else. Because, while her mother tries to pair him with a number of gentlemen, she is in love with one of her good friends, Charles' older sister, the 18 year old Katherine. But does Katherine love Elizabeth like Elizabeth loves Katherine? And how can their love survive in such a strict community? Thanks to Maria † Cuenca for the wonderful cover!"

 Well here we go. This movella is written in a diary format. It is short in length but quite powerful indeed. Silent Melody writes in a perspective of Elizabeth Perry who is, if you say it straightly, a lesbian. Elizabeth starts off with being anxious that Katherine doensn't love Elizabeth like Elizabeth does, and then she's all happy meeting Katherine. Things seem to go on happily until they realize that this is quite a strict community. Silent Melody--or, Elizabeth-- writes a shocking entry that consists of only three words: the 25th of April... "let me die." The story gets quite dark now. Elizabeth writes another entry, and then comes the epilogue. "Julia and Juliet" ends up as a tragic story. One thing that confuses me, though, is the title. In the story I don't find any Julias and Juliets as main characters...;;;

Still an excellent story. I recommend it to people who are bored with the happy, sweet stories. "Julia and Juliet" will be quite a dark story for the summer(=
