6. Questioning

The man with grizzly hair (Rodrik) had grabbed me and dragged me, surrounded by the soldiers to a group of horses. He then put me in front of him on a huge, beautiful, dark chocolate-coloured stallion with a long black mane and we rode for five hours to a massive under-ground castle. Once inside I was hauled down to the very bottom, seven floors under-ground, and put in a small chamber, where I immediately changed into my large, brown and vicious cat form, hissing at everything that moved. After a few hours they served me water and bread. I can't eat bread, so I just lapped up the water and went to sleep, luckily I had eaten almost an entire deer before I came, so I would last for a while.

In the morning I was rudely woken up by someone banging on the door, shouting "wake up", I slowly got up and hissed loudly at them and promptly laid down again. They persisted unreasonably. So I changed and asked them what on Earth the wanted. They, then, kindly informed me I was to be taken to the leader for questioning. I sighed and allowed myself to be taken.

Who are you?

Where are you from?

Yufara, in the North.

How did you get so far South East then?

I was taken into slavery.

Who by?

How did you escape?

I.. I don't know. I just woke up in the forest.

Strange. Who found you?

Emillion and Izua, by the stream.

I see. So you were taken into slavery, and escaped but you have no recollection of the escape?

Yes. Oh and also, that is when I found I had the ability to change.

Interesting. Well that is all for now, you may return to your chamber.

That is how the questioning went. I tried to be fairly cooperative, but seen as they had taken me, against my will, I wasn't going to be kind.

When I convinced the search party that Astella was probably back at the camp, we began to start back. After ten minutes, we were there, and I knew immediately that something was horribly wrong. We opened all the tents and she was no where to be seen, then Izua found tracks, coordinated foot prints of a group of soldiers, wide paces of a large man, and the unmistakable, continuous, deep lines of someone being dragged. My heart was racing now and I could feel anger, sadness, guilt rising up my throat. This was my fault, I kept telling myself. I told Izua, as he was by far my closest friend.

"Hey, Em it wasn't your fault! D'ya hear me?!" He said. I nodded sceptically. Tears were developing in my eyes.

"We have to go after them" I shouted, too loud.

"We shall." Said Pipra "Ruffa, Katrina, gather some weapons, we may need them. Josephina, Izua, saddle the horses. Me, Izua and Emillion will go after her. Ladies, you guard the camp." He ordered, the girls were annoyed, but Pipra, as leader, had the final word.

Half an hour later the three men were rapidly chasing the tracks.
