Living with Teatime Journal

Based off the character Mr.Teatime from Terry Pratchett's book 'Hogfather' in the Discworld Series.

A series of diary entries about living with him in our own world. This is how I wound up with him and what has been happening thereforth

NOTE: I do not own this character, I didn't make him up. He was created by Terry Pratchett, author of the Discworld Series.

3. Entry #3, "Dear Gods Help us All"

“My word, what is this contraption?”

“That one’s a taser gun.”

“What about this one?” Mr. Teatime picked up another metal contraption and a fascinated expression crept into his mismatched eyes.

“That’s a real gun,” I replied reluctantly.

“And what does it do?” he replied as his facial features twisted into an excited grin.

“Pull both triggers and it shoots out high powered pellets that kill most people when aimed correctly-“

My speech was cut off when a high pitched giggle escaped the boy’s throat, his face was red with excitement as he obsessively pulled swept all the guns off the counter and stuffed them in his jacket pockets.

‘Dear gods, what have I done?’ was the last thought that came into my mind as he skipped out the door.

ALTERNATIVE ENDING

“And what does it do?” he replied as his facial features twisted into an excited grin.

“It shoots out high pressured pellets that kill most people when hit,” I replied with mounting concern.

“How do you operate it?”

“I’m not telling you that,” I replied in defence of the human race against Teatime.

Then, his hands were a blur. All of a sudden I was at the other end of the barrel, “I know where to aim,” he giggled, “I just don’t know how to operate this yet, and won’t we have so much fun finding out together?”

'Dear gods, help us all' was the last thought that came into my mind as I stared into the barrel and then into the endless depths of the boy's manic eyes.
