23. Metamorphosis

Though rough I was,
lost of all grace,
my body had sunk beneath the waves.

The tides hard turned,
lapped down with force,
my heart now smoothened along your shores.

The sun doth glimmers,
and shines on me,
my soul now finally has been set free.

The arbitrator,
of this change is you,
you made me someone I once knew.

Your hand in mine,
and mine thus so,
together our hearts will start to grow.

Actions are louder,
than the words I write,
so let me take you in my arms tonight.

Our heartbeat flutters,
resonates dull tones,
and our lips do quiver and begin to moan.

We lay as one,
an etherial bliss,
who knew things would end like this.
