My Writing Diary

This is just the steps I use here, and maybe a few inspiration notes. If you're interested, read it, but if you're not, please don't read it then insult me. :( Anyway, this will refer to other people's movellas, so if you choose to follow these steps with me, you might want to find them. That's all!

Today's post will take a nostalgic note so, if you're not one for that type of monologue... It might be a good idea to give this one a huge swerve.

I roleplay. It's a long-standing fact that can't really be ignored. And my second roleplay ever was Hogwarts: A New Threat. The game master has long since sunk away from online life and is most likely busy with real life or some other website. But we (the other participants and I) took our characters and decided to start a new place. Plumbob Paradise. It started on the First of May 2012.

We had so much fun. In the first month, we racked up over one thousand posts. The characters were people to us - we decided events but, sometimes, they seemed to carry things away and make something of it themselves. I was repairing the character list today, there hasn't been much activity recently and the host server has made some alterations. So the editing went awry. And, as I added each character afresh, I looked at their faces.

I remembered when Serena met Slater - he's not there anymore, I haven't talked to his owner in over a year. We got on really well, I like to think... I remembered how great it was to send them to classes, how amazingly new it was in the beginning, the plans I had for Serena's sister Althea and how roleplaying her with her boyfriend was so addictive.

When I created Serena and Althea, they were just pretty faces with dynamic personalities and estranged from the other characters. Now they each have their groups, friends and multi-tonal lives. Althea's no longer a stuck-up, entirely prejudiced and wafer-thin collection of posts. She's a person to me. They all are.

Anyway, that's all for today. Bye!
