About MeMy Movellas - My Mumbles - Favourites

“I hope she'll be a fool -- that's the best thing a girl can be in this world, a beautiful little fool.”-The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. This is definitely not the way I think about women, though rather it sums up, almost, the essence of the 20s in which the book is set. The heights of decadence, glory, revelry and beneath it the hollowness and the echoing tinking of champagne glasses. Besides, gotta love Daisy Buchanan.

“I have hated words and I have loved them, and I hope I have made them right.”-The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. One of my all time favourite books; this quote is just so relevant and powerful, especially to a writer.

"People think pleasing God is all God care about. But any fool living in the world can see it always trying to please us back.”-The Color Purple by Alice Walker. I'm not spiritual, but every time I think of this one quote, I smile.

So... yeah.

  • Because There Has to be a Title

    B. Anonymous Ugh... So busy. Just finished World Book Day entry ("There Once Was a Man"-please could someone maybe read it and tell me what they think?) and now am working on the first chapter of a historical novel for a competition; my entry for the sci-fi competition; more reviews for "So Many Books"; finishing the last 2/3 of my Welsh novel which I can't even post here because no-one could read it; and it's the Easter holidays which I feel I can't enjoy so long as I have all this work to do! Hmmm. Busy, busy, busy...[this is my first mumble, by way. Sorry I've spent it whining. It's just I'm very good at whining. Less good at actually doing very much that's productive.]
Kelly GB. Anon, please go check the link. We need your prompt line for the competition by tomorrow, which is Sunday. :)
IceCreamGirlI'm going to whore completely shamelessly, so I apologies for that. But a while ago you said you'd be interested in reading my The Enemy fan fiction. I published it the other day, though it'[s not finished, I was just wondering if you wanted to have a look? Of course I understand if you don't :) I'll read anything of yours, if there's anything you'd like me to read?
    B. Anonymous Read it, commented, liked and faved :-) It was amazing. I'm glad you did tell me about it after all as knowing me I'd be stupid and wouldn't get round to it but I'm glad I have. And don't worry about reading anything of mine, it isn't necessary :-)
IceCreamGirlThank you so much :D Sorry about the whoring, but I'm so glad you liked it. You sure? You've done me a great favour, so I'll be happy to return it.

    B. Anonymous

This morning I woke up, and I looked for my cat. Then I realised that he died last night. But, and I know it's stupid, I carried on looking for him for another half an hour despite knowing that he was gone :-( I know he was just a cat, but I really do miss him. R.I.P Beanie.
Enya Sanders Well, you loved him, and it's always horrible when someone you love dies so it does matter.
The Girl Next DoorYou loved him. It does matter because you obviously loved him a lot.
IceCreamGirlI'm really sorry about it, and hope it gets better soon. I have no experience of losing pets, but I can imagine it's horrible. RIP Beanie.
epBelle<3I'm so sorry! Loosing a pet is a terrible thing!
  • Competitions

    B. Anonymous I've been a bit shy to enter any competitions before, when two come along that Ihave ideas for: as of today, I've entered two competiton and I'd really appreciate if you maybe gave them a look through. For the 'Unexpected Advnture Competition' I've written a story called "The Other Side" about a family of hedgehogs and for the 'Reviewing 2012 Competition' I've published the imaginatively titled "2012: A Review". Thanks, and I apologise for wasting your time!
    B. Anonymous Unfortunately, I didn't place in the Unexpected Adventure competition, which was a disappointment to say the least, though i'm going to move on and look forward to the 'Reviewing 2012' competition instead. Ah, well... there's always next time.
    1DHarryStyles<3I thought that I fanned you a long time ago but I guess that I didn't ... Awkward turtles ... Sorry :(
Hopeless WandererI just discovered I have not fanned you! Why am I so oblivious to the world and my surroundings? haha! now I am a fan :D congrats on 35! <3 xxx

  • First Try at Poetry

    B. Anonymous Hello, fans, if you haven't already gotten sick of my work then could you please 'The Girl Who Danced With Death' as it's my first try at poetry on this site and I'd love some feedback on how to improve and make it the best it can possibly be. Those who have already read it and have been very complimentary and helpful though I'd really appreciate some more. Thank you and sorry for bothering you!
Billie The Dragon-OwlI read it!! It's awesome!!!
    B. Anonymous Thanks, that means a lot!
