  • Poetry

aditibooI was wondering what kind of poetry you guys were into?
My personal favourite is Roald Dahl's Book of Revolting Rhymes. I first got a copy of this book as a gift for my 12th birthday and, honestly, I wish someone had read me those fairytales when I was a kid. He brings quite the twist to the happy-go-lucky stories we've come to know. They're entertaining and such a pleasure to read that that book was the first thing I put into my suitcase when packing to go to university.

I also love to indulge in some Coleridge and Keats as my classic favourites.

I've discovered Ntozake Shange's 'For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf' - This is an experimented play performed on and off broadway and it's also been made into a movie. I've watched Tyler Perry's film adaption of it before falling in love with Ntozake's poetry.
SWAATIwow! i am also a great fan of Keats bt my favouriteone is P.B. Shelley
inkpencil...;)Dr Seuss, without a doubt, is the greatest poet of all time.
aditibooAlso, I'm a great fan of performance poetry..my favourite pieces are
    'Pretty' by Kate Makai
'Love Poem from a toothbrush to a bicycle wheel' by Sarah Kay and anything else by Sarah Kay in general
Andrea Gibson is another great poetry performer as well.
My all-time favourite has to be 'knock knock' by daniel beatty. Here's a youtube link to it:

If you guys understand french, then Grand Corps Malade is the first obvious one, his video to 'Romeo et Juliette' is one of my favourites. There's also the lesser known Astien with the slam 'Le voleur' -
