Hi everyone! My name is Alix, and I live in London.
I love to read and write and I am getting closer to my dream every day; currently I am sending my work off to agents and publishers. If you have any questions about getting published or anything like that I would be the person to ask!

I have also appeared on Sky News to publicise Movellas, it was a great experience.
I am a Movellas Ambassador so of course I will be more than happy to answer any of your questions or read your work- just ask!
My Movella, Finding Theo, also won Movella of the Year, and at the minute I am going over it again for the new competition.

  • Bye For Now!

    Alix I am very sad to say that I have had to make a deal with my mum that if I am allowed to go to more book launches and parties and correspond with agents, I have to take a complete break from writing from now (15th April) until 18th June :'( It was a hard deal to make but I guess I have to think about my future. There are just a couple more things I would really like to see when I come back:

    1. 100 fans. PLEASE?
    2. That all my friends will continue to grow on here and keep writing so I have lots to read when I come back.
    3. Don't forget me :'(
    4. Keep praying that I might possibly have a chance in the Sony Young Movellist of the Year competition!
    5. Read my stuff please! It would be lovely to come back to some lovely comments :D

    That's all for now, my friends! I'm really going to miss this for two months but I will tell all when I come back from the scary world of GCSEs and agents!

    Annie.GALIXXXX!!! We love you sooo much we'd never forget you! Of course, I understand COMPLETELY why you want to focus on your exams, and you're being very sensible, so seriously I wish you the best of luck! Finding Theo will blow their minds, honestly! It HAS to be published I don't care if it's in the competition against anything anyone else has written! Just keep reading throughout exams, even if you can't write. I'm going to have to stop, but to stop my head exploding, I will read read read and stay as calm as possible! Keep your creative juices going somehow. How about short spontaneous poetry? That's no big commitment and you can sneakily write it anywhere without anyone noticing ;)

  • Exciting!

    Alix Hey, guys! I'm sorry I haven't been on Movellas much over Easter but I'm back now :) A lot of exciting things have been happening with me, last week I was invited to a book launch with my uncle (he writes!) and I had to do a lot of networking, scary :O I met two authors who were very lovely and also an agent who I have sent Finding Theo off too after a request!
    Have also just received another invite so will be sure to go to that!
    Finally... I sent Finding Theo off to Sony Young Movellist of the Year! I'm incredibly nervous but excited about the outcome, good luck to everyone else who entered :D xx

  • Emotional...

    Alix It was a sad moment when I had to delete Finding Theo to enter the new competition... Thank you to all who read it over the past two years and supported me :D I am now in the process of going over it and making it better- good luck to all who are entering!

  • Long time no talk...

    Alix Hi guys! It feels like I haven't properly been on Movellas for ages! But now all of my March exams are over and I am ready to start writing devotedly again :D Thank you and sorry for all of the people who have tried to talk to me and I haven't replied to their comments... I wasn't ignoring you, just revising. Will be sending off Finding Theo soon for the big comp :D If anyone wants me to read any of their stuff I'm a bit low on Movellas reading material so I am more than happy to critique :)

You are lucky to have a novel to put in. I started writing one for about the first few days, and then realised that there was absolutely no way I was going to be able to write a novel in a month- not with all the other mental stuff going on in my life. I'm still gonna write it though, just not limit myself to a month. The prize is awesome. Do you like Malorie Blackman?

    Alix Hello! :D Aww thank you so much :) I think they went not too badly, but not that great... oh well! I hope things are all good with you! Yeah you should definitely try it- I agree that a month is a big push, which is why I just stuck with what I've already got, just making it better :D Yes it is! And yeah I do, I've only read Noughts and Crosses and though I didn't read the others I thought it was fantastic! Do you?

    Alix No don't say that! No I haven't actually- don't know why, because I loved the first one! I might read the others now... :P
