My Mumbles (4)

  • Friday 13th

Amy-JayAs if I joined the BeatGirl fanfic competition on Friday the 13th holding no hope for it now :L
  • Drifter

Amy-JayJust published my new movella; ‘Drifter’ which is a concept I've been refining in my absence from movellas and was originally titled In Their Plastic Fortress, which is kind of irrelevant now. It’s set in the not so distant future after the EU has collapsed due to the failure of the euro and Britain has been forced back into a recession – the result optional taxation. Those who pay their taxes get the bonuses of being a British citizen and those who don’t have to pay the cost for all services, for many they have no option and become drifters frequently moving in search of work. My story follows Gracie Taylor, the daughter of a drifter and her struggle for survival in these hard times. In the resume I explain she has now been arrested and this is her statement as she struggles to clear her name by telling the at times disturbing true story of her life. This is for more of a mature audience, some explicit parts.
I hope you enjoy this, there is still much to come!
  • addiction

Amy-JayI'm 100% addicted to Movellas at the moment, it's like a bad habbit, constantly checking my e-mails for updates e.t.c. Which is pretty bad considering I'm meant to be revising for A levels... Not ideal.
I was writing to say thanks to everyone who has supported my entry to the picture prompt competition, I really enjoyed writing it and have been grateful for all the lovely feedback.
I also want to know if anyone is reading 'While I still can', the reason being, although I have my plan for it, I'm losing interest in writing it which suggests you readers may also be finding it boring? If so I'll delete it.
Have a new story on the way too, this one is for more of an adult audience and is (I hope) a bit different. The first chapter should be uploaded within the next few weeks, currently in an editing frenzy!!
    Thanks,
    Amy
D.B. FairlessHey, was wondering if you wouldn't mind checking out my new piece called Slender Man :)
  • Sorry I take a while

Amy-JayI'm conscious that it takes me a while to update my movellas, so thankyou readers for being patient with me.
I've just updated my penultimate chapter for my competition piece 'The Unseen' and am halfway through the final chapter, I won’t keep you in suspense too long! I hope you enjoy it :)
    Amy-Jaywill take a look now :)
