A reader of many genres. Thriller, fantasy, science fiction, true crime, even the occasional romantic drama.

Currently on a comics reading kick, many Avengers, X-Men, Spider-Man, Cable, Deadpool. Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Catwoman, Batwoman, Batgirl, Flash & Justice League. Star Wars, G.I. Joe. Buffy and Angel graphic novels have been read of late.

Really just writing for my own amusement, so if anyone else likes my stuff it's a bonus.

  • Trailers

    John Bryananyone else wish you could just upload a video from your ow computer to use as a trailer rather than have to put it it on YouTube first.

    I created a trailer for CID Homicide as well as for my attempt at at a sci-fi story that I haven't even put up on here yet but had to create a YouTube account for these trailers when I didn't really want to.

    Don't get me wrong I'm glad its here, It's good if you're using an existing video or a music video to use as a trailer, I just wish you had the choice to upload straight to movellas.

    Now I'm working on a trailer for Chase and a trailer for one of my draft movellas, my companion to Chase all about the other demon Hunter. As well a new one for CID Homicide. None of which I want to upload to youtube, but I don't really have any choice.

  • Jackpot

    John BryanClearing out an old cupboard I've just come across the notes, story ideas and character descriptions, I'd for not just the two stories I've got up here on Movellas Chase and CID Homicide but pretty much all the stories I've thought of jotted bits and pieces for. Going pretty much all the way back to when I started them.

    There's even stuff for the Sci-Fi story I want to write, although that with that stuff when I stopped working on it, it was still a Star Trek spin off idea. Still hopefully it should help moving that forward.

    There's also the one paragraph bit I wrote that is the basis of the story I'm trying to finish now to enter into the afterlife competiton.

    The only downside is there is a ton of paper for all of them and it's going to take absolutely ages to go through it all to refamiliarize myself with it and work out what to use and what to throw out, but on the whole this is a good thing as I thought all that stuff had been thrown out years ago.

  • Concentration

    John BryanSo that just leaves two stories I've got left up, Chase and ClD Homicide. The rest being song lyrics. For those stories, I need to take a bit more time with the stories, to map out the plot going forward to help me write the next chapters so I don't know when I'm likely to be updating them.

    On top of that I've got a story to finish I want to enter in the afterlife competition and The basics of a Sci-fi series I've been working on for sometime. All in all I need to focus and try to improve my writing the areas they suck the most. Plot, Character, Dialogue, Grammar and Spelling, once I've mastered those my movellas will definitely improve slightly.

  • Farewell

    John BryanYesterday I unpublished two of my movellas, Secrets Among Friends, my attempt at an East London Gangland thriller, where the first two chapters chapters published weren't thrilling. As well as Married to the Job (I never liked that title), but I did like the stories I was trying to tell.

    I haven't done anything with either in a long time and haven't thought of ways to move them forward, so it's goodbye to them both, for now anyway.

  • world building

    John BryanSo brilliantly in deciding to go back and add detail to the background of the world not one, but two of my stories are set in I realised a flaw existed in my original idea and I'm not sure how to fix it.
