Sunlight drifted through my blinds and into my room. My eyes flutter open and I sit up and get out of bed, combing my fingers through my dark brown hair. I yawn and glance at the clock near my bed. It was 8:12 AM. I walk out of my bedroom and downstairs to the kitchen, passing my sister, Sami, who is one year older than me. “Hey Elle,” she says not taking her eyes off the TV. “Hey Sami, what are you watching?” I ask stopping and looking at the TV. “Twilight, duh,” Sami says looking at me like I was crazy, then turning back around with her eyes glued on the screen. “Sorry,” I say and walk away into the kitchen. My mom and dad were sitting at the kitchen table talking. “Hi mom, dad.” I said. “Good morning, did you see our new neighbors?” my mom asked. “No, I’ll meet them soon though,” I replied. I walked to the fridge and opened the door. I pulled out a jug of orange juice and got a cup out from the cupboard. I poured myself a glass and walked back over to Sami and sat down next to her. I watched the movie as I sipped my juice.
Once I was done with my glass, I got up and put it in the dishwasher. Then I walk up stairs and to get ready for today. I was going to the mall with my best friend Bridget. I looked through my closet and picked out white skinny jeans, a silver sparkly tank top with a light tan leather jacket. Then I walked into the bathroom and took a shower. Then I got dressed and did a French side braid on me. Then I applied a small amount of blush on and sparkly white eye shadow and mascara. I was finally ready to go, so I walked into my room, put small silver earrings on, put my light tan leather high top converse and grabbed my bag. I started to walk out of my room when something caught my eye.
I looked out of the window and saw a moving van across the street. There were people walking back and forth into the house and to the moving van. That must be the new neighbors, I thought to myself. I watched quickly and saw a blonde haired boy carrying a box into the house. He turned around talking but caught my eye. He froze and smiled. I smiled back. He waved and dropped the box. He quickly bent down and picked it up. He looked at me and smiled and turned and continued to walk to the house. I smile and walk down stairs. I say bye to my parents and walk out to the front door, grabbing the keys to my car on my way out.
When I walk outside, the boy was halfway across the street coming towards me. I walk towards him and stop in front of him. “Hi, I, um, saw you up in your room.” The boy says. “Yeah, I was just getting ready to go to the mall with my friends.” I say. “Oh, well I’ll leave, but I wanted to introduce myself. I’m Niall Horan,” Niall says and holds out his hand. I extend my arm and shake his hand. “I’m Elle Vatice,” I say. “What a lovely name.” Niall says smiling, showing his beautiful smile. “Thanks,” I say blushing. Niall laughs. “So, lets get together some time and hang out,” Niall says leaning against my car. “Sure, maybe right now, you could hang out with me and my friend at the mall, but you probably might not want to hang out with the girls.’ I say laughing at myself. “Yeah, you’re right, but maybe another time. I’ll be home for a while unpacking so come over anytime.” Niall says. “Ok, well I have to go,” I say. “I’m sorry, I’ll see you soon.” Niall says moving away from my car and started to walk over to his house. “Ok, I’ll see you today maybe,” I call after him. “Alright,” Niall says and runs across the street, disappearing into the moving van. I sigh in happiness. I unlock my red convertible beetle and get inside. I back out of my driveway and drive off to the mall to meet my friend.
