Drops drops lovely rain drops

falling and dancing like little elves

touching grass and turning to drops of dew

dropping in to creeks and making them gurgle

kissed by sunlight spreading myriad colors

with gay abandon they fall on every one

black,brown or white  as they are 

the showers of God's abundant love
