It is the year 2212. The human race has spread through the galaxy, colonising planet after planet. They have mastered faster-than-light travel, defying the laws of physics, and reaching faraway planets in days instead of decades.

Contact has been made with alien races, and although no alliances exist as yet, friendships have been formed.

Unfortunately, peace is not an option for some aliens, and skirmishes have been waged...

During the colonisation of some planets, diseases, or even native life forms, have wiped out colonies. To counter this, the FRC (Federation Research Corp) was set up to study planets and make sure they are safe.

However, the FRC was spread thin, and sometimes, squads were sent down to scout out planets.

It was during this time that the planet A-100.2 was discovered.

The “A” signified that the planet was capable of supporting life, and the “100” said that it was in the 100th planet that the Federation of Human Colonies had deemed both necessary and suitable for colonisation.

The “2” meant that it was the second planet from the star.

It was a milestone in the history of the human race. If it were colonised, the human race would have 100 planets under its control.

However, things are never straightforward, and with the colonisation of a planet so far from Earth, and so close to the territories of other aliens, war could only be so far away.

And so, as with all things, what would be, would be, and inevitably, war would come to the human race…
