1. Deep in the meadow
I threw myself up so fast, I almost fell out of the bed. Another nightmare about Prim. Why won't they leave me? I knew I wouldn't be able to get back to sleep now. There was only one solution. Him. I still don't know how I feel about him. I love him, but I hate him. He's amazing, and he's horrible. Now I can't stop thinking about him. I swing my legs off the bed and slide into my hunting boots. I slowly walk over to the bedroom door. I have no idea why I'm trying to be quiet, I'm the only one here. I slowly open the door, and slide out onto the landing. I pick up my pace a little bit now. I glide down the stairs, and face my next obstacle: The front door. I put my hand on the handle, then pull it away. I put it back on, and pull away again. This time, when I put it on, I lock my fingers around it. I open the door, and step out into the cold night. I close the door behind me, then head towards my destination. The house to the right of mine. Not the left. The left was occupied by a drunken slob, and sometimes, an eccentric escort, who is fond of the colour pink.
I tap lightly down the steps at the front of my house, then turn right. In front of me, was the house I was heading to. I walk straight forward, almost slipping on the ice. My heart flutters as I reach his front door. It was unlocked, so I quietly open it, slither through a small opening I had created, and close it quietly behind me. This house was almost the same as mine. The only difference was the flour on the ground. I tip-toe quietly up the stairs, to make sure I don't awaken my saviour. I reach his bedroom door, and open it slowly. I take a peek in, and see his masculine body. I smile at the sight of him. He stirs around in the bed. How loud was I breathing? I slide in, and the door claps shut quietly behind me. I pull off my boots, and place them beside the door. He stirs again, and this time, lifts his head up. His eyes slide half-way open, and he smiles, obviously pleased to see me. "What are you doing here?" He asks as kind as anyone can ask that question. I start to answer, but He interrupts me. "nightmares?" I nod. He beckons me over to his bed. I climb in, and he puts his arm around me. I smile. It's been a while since I've had his arms around my body. He shivers, "You're cold." He gets up, and grabs a blanket from the armchair beside his bed. He wraps me in it, then returns to holding me. I wrap my legs around his, which I know he likes. I wrap my arms around him, and whisper in his ear, "Thanks, Peeta." Then I drift off to sleep.
