1. prologue
I aimed my gun at the seagull, precisely getting the right position, the green grass laying beneath my feet and all I did was wait, waiting was key in hunting...I was waiting until the seagull stopped. I let the trigger go and watched the bullet flow through the air as quickly as light as the birds squawk of pain echoed through the air and vanished as the bird fell to the ground, dead.
I let out a laugh of joy as I ran over to pick up its motionless body. I heard seagulls making sounds of sadness. They were stupid birds, they were probably just eating worms as they did best.
The sound shot through my ears as I saw a group of seagulls hurdling their way through the air. They seemed to be coming towards me. I stared into their eyes, I saw nothing; they were seagulls so of course I saw nothing.
It was nearly at me so I thought I better run. I started a sprint but as I ran I felt myself being lifted from the floor. Sharp claws dug into my neck as I turned my head around I saw a seagull. Many more came to me and gripped the rest of me. I must have been dreaming. Until I felt myself drop from the air and come into contact with water.
The pain hurtled through my chest and then my eyes seemed to close as I lay upon the waters surface.
