1. Proloque.

Even though I'm just graduating primary school we're still having a proper graduation, like highschools does. It's actualy quite a lot of fun. And of course, I was supposed to write the graduation speech. I had no clue what to write, and what to leave out. I was looking at all the pictures at my class, every day at least one hundred pictures was taken. Phill was the photographer in most pictures, which lead to the result that he was missing in most of them. I figured, why not make a presentation of all the pictures, connecting a story to each of them? It would be different, and then it would have my personal touch. Then afterwards a copy of the presentation, with my voice would be given to each of my classmates. It was the most brilliant idea I've ever had. But. I only had one week to finish it. It would be hard to complete it, but luckily I didn't had anything else to do that week, so it would be like working a full 24 hours, in a whole week. Great!

I could feel the butterflies now. In about five minutes my classmates and their parents would look just at me. Well, I guess that I knew how it would feel to perform, which were my biggest dream. Just standing there, with my guitar and a song. A song with feelings, and atmosphere. With a story behind it, people would believe in every single word I sang. That was my biggest dream. Shit! The principle called my name. I was right up, could I remember what I was supposed to say? Yes, it was printed in my head, there was no possible way it would ever go away. Now the only challenge was to relax, and enjoy the attention. "Hello everybody. My name's Catherine as you probably already know.. Instead of that boring ordinary graduation speech, I decided to give my. Let's say personal touch. So I took all the pictures I've gathered of us past the years, and connected a story to each of them. I usually connect stories to everything that I do. Truth is that Phill took most of these pictures, so he's missing in most of them. I'm sad to tell you Phill, that I managed to find a picture of you as well. Well, let's start then..." I started to relax, and I really enjoyed all the attention. Quite nice actually. There was laughter to most of the pictures, 'cause I could remember the funniest stories, and after this day, I'd never forget them again. "... Thanks for the attention everyone. Don't forget that there's a copy of this little storytelling to each of you. Thanks again" I said, and pointed my finger at a bunch of CD's, which were placed on a table. I went down from the stage, to big hugs from classmates and parents. They were all proud, and really enjoyed it. They thought it was fun. I went down to the little table, and started to hand out the CD's. I wasn't much of a party person, I liked a bit of attention here and there, and music was great, but I didn't enjoy getting drunk, and dance all night. It wasn't me, so I kept in the background. I didn't say goodbye to my friends, as we had a party next weekend, or it wasn't a real party. I planned, so we should sit around a campfire on the beach and have fun, I'd bring my guitar, so there would be a chance that they wanted me to play. I hoped so. I loved to perform infront of them, as I felt safe. So a few hours later I left with my parents. The other parents left as well, and I knew my classmates were sad, that I did, but I promised them, that the party next week would be great!

Finally. I had a good long summer a head of me. All I had to do, was laying in the garden, read a good book, play some music and of course prepare for high school. My sister said it would be very different, and it would be a good idea to prepare for it, just a bit. So I would do it, but my music came first. I didn't care about my education, if I got a contract. I would play music, sell it, earn money and live my life untill I died. I didn't want to waste more than I needed to of my life on education. I needed highschool, but who said I couldn't do an album and go to school at the same time? Loads of singers and musicians does that...

Oops, I haven't told you anything about me. But I'm Catherine Blackbird, and I've just turned 16. I live in London. My parents have some sort of summerhouse at the westcoast, and I spend a lot of time there. When I start in highschool, it will be in the U.S. my parents thought it would be good for me to come away from England, also because they're thinking about my music. They think there's better choices there, than here. Personally I'd liked to stay at home, so I was closer to my friends, but they kinda backs my parents up. Everybody wants me to get a carrier, sometimes they want it more than me. My hair is brown, and long. I don't have a certain style, I wear whatever I like. Basically I'm just like any other 16 year old girl in this world...

Not the best start I know. Anyways, I know my English is far from perfect, but it takes practice and a lot of patience to get it perfect when you're Danish! Loove xx
