Resumé These are my thoughts, I know you didn’t ask for them, probably don’t want them, have more interesting and better articulated thoughts of your own but in case anyone IS interested, these are my thoughts. Offered to you with honesty, free to fall under your judgment. I cannot and will not claim them to be original – for what are we but feeble repeats of what has come before? I can only hope that the ordering, some wording and this particular combination is not overly common or dull.

1. Just in case you didn't read the description

These are my thoughts, I know you didn’t ask for them, probably don’t want them, have more interesting and better articulated thoughts of your own but in case anyone IS interested, these are my thoughts.     WhitmanI'm still reading! Long train journeys can do funny things to you, especially if you travel alone, but they're great for writing. You've got hours with nothing better to do than read, watch people and write. And, yes, always get something to eat before the journey! And don't worry about wasting thoughts on trivia - thought is an exercise, just like weight-lifting. But nobody benches their max weight all day, every day. In fact, most weight-lifters spend the vast majority of their time lifting nothing heavier than the clothes on their back or the quilt on their bed. So it's ok for you to think about toilets sometimes! Keep writing!

    sL0rissThe second chapter sums up my feelings perfectly; I recently gave up facebook for lent and upon logging on today (being the last day) I realised that I had missed absolutely nothing. I dislike many of the people who are my 'friends' and being quite honest, I might just disable it all together. I sometimes use tumblr, but not often as I feel that it is as you described; an anonymous popularity contest. The only "social network" I use very frequently is twitter - I like how you can follow anyone and there is no obligation to follow anyone. Many of the people on twitter are very nice and I like keeping up to date with my favourite bands etc. But on the whole, the second chapter is one of the most accurate pieces of writing regarding facebook and so on I have ever seen.

    KieraMichaelisThank you! It's crazy I seem to be caught in this facebook cycle again - addicted to the nothingness or something. It's kind of great how many people feel exaclty the same about stuff - writing is being part of something far more real than facebook at times no? AAAH now I'm warbling! anyway thanks :) favourite or something - and I'll try to come up with some sort of thoughts on things which people really want to hear. :) keep writing!

    KieraMichaelisI'm exactly the same! Like when you read something in the newspaper and you're like: See it's not just me!! I'm not bad after all!! :D
    (Although of course some people do use it genuinely to be creative etc :P)
    Next chapter is about hopeless (well sort of) but if you have any thoughts that needs validating I'm always up for it :) Loved your love poem btw!!

    WhitmanFacebook is the devil's work all right. I did a friends cull last year and, like you, still read too much crap. Why, why, why do people have this urge to tell everyone they know that they are going to bed? And why, why,why, do I know that people are doing this? Because I check! It's exactly as ridiculous as you describe.

    andy pritchardSo true, I think a lot of people feel the same about facebook , it seems a lot of things these days are just about popularity, I wonder the same about this site where it seems the people who write mostly about Justin Bieber and the Twilight Saga seem to be the more popular stories, we need more creativity and originality!

    KieraMichaelisYep! But at the same time, if I had any interest at all in those subjects no doubt I would partake - and despite having no interest I feel a slight urge to join in!! I think in the end it's up you, what you enjoy and how you chose to live life - despite it being confusing/hard for the rest of us!! :)

    VanillaIt's funny to think about the fact that the world have functioned without internet, facebook, mobilephoes etc. Of course a lot of things has become easier but we were able to live without it and we did not worry about it. I know the phrase "a simpler time" is a cliché, but these things arent necessary in our lives. Neither is knowing that a former collegaue of mine has just walked her dog........................
