“No Matter How Hard Life Is, Don't Lose Hope”.
Sitting in the front row with Niall’s family, you watched as he stood at the alter, taking a nervous breath.
Any minute now, his bride-to-be was going to walk down the aisle, making her vows to be with him forever. And it was exactly the other way around. In sickness and in health, for better or for worse. All of that meant “together forever” in a childish sense.
Looking at him though, you noticed something off about his facial expression. You expected the nerves and happiness was there, but only the nervousness appeared to show. There was almost a look of regret on his face, and it only got more evident as the time grew near.
Looking down the aisle, you could see the bridesmaids begin to gather at the door, meaning you didn’t have much time to make this bold move. Getting up from your seat, you walked up to him, grabbing his arm and pulling him into a small room where he had gotten ready hours before.
"Niall what is going on?" you blurted out, keeping your grasp on his arm.
"What? (Y/N) what are you doing? I have to be out there!" he exclaimed, slightly shocked by your sudden move. But you weren’t letting up.
"No, Niall, I can see it in your face, something’s bothering you. What’s going through your head?"
He looked at you like you were only slightly crazy before he face finally softened, the walls breaking down that he appeared to have been holding up for so long.
"I… I… I don’t think I should be getting married…" he said quietly, looking deep into your eyes.
"Why not?" you asked, raising an eyebrow. Niall looked down, almost if he was ashamed to answer the question. "Tell me?" you asked, softening your voice and tone.
"I caught her with someone else last night…" he said barely above a whisper. "Another man… I don’t know, I thought it was her brother at first but… but then they started touching and kissing and… and I don’t know what I’m thinking when I’m standing up there… I can’t marry someone who’s unfaithful."
"Of course not Niall…" A sad tone echoed on your words. "Niall I’m so sorry that happened…" You kneeled in front of his slumped body in the chair, putting your hands on his knees. "Come with me… I’ll get you out of here without anyone ever noticing…" you whispered, standing up and taking his hand.
"What do you mean? We can’t just leave."
"Of course we can! She deserves it. We’ll call your family once we get somewhere far, far away from that bitch." Smirking, you got a small smile and nod in reply, pulling him towards the back exit.
