Featuring Diversity: A Writing Competition

In the spirit of our latest feature month, we have a different kind of competition for you

It's Summer and the colors ever-present on our thriving planet are out and on display. We love this season, just like we love the diverse nature of our movellians who are always writing stories that are different, thought-provoking, and often amazing in their own right.

This June was Diversity Feature Month on Movellas where we talked about the diversity that makes our world - and the stories we write within it - so beautiful. And while the blog posts and mumbles were fun, what better way to end our month of celebration than by having a competition that seeks more of this representation in writing!

What we want is to give you all a chance to really embrace people and characters who may be under-represented in media. This diversity can be on what you choose, you can focus on LGBT+, religious, or racial diversity, as well as disabilities (mental or physical) in your writing, it's up to you.

How to Participate

To take part in this competition, simply write story with diverse characters. This could be a story with diverse main characters, or a piece focusing on the experiences faced by a minority group - the options are endless!

Your contribution may be a poem, a oneshot, a longer story, a fanfiction, etc. ...did we mention there are options? Diverse ones <3

Is writing not really your thing? That's funny, because you're on the writing site Movellas ;) but if you're more interested in designing a cover or fanart then you may also do that, just say "Cover" or "Fanart" somewhere in the title or description of your entry to help make that clear.
