NaNoWriMo: A Writing Competition

Hey, it’s only 1667 words a day...

November is National Novel Writing Month, which should get every writer really excited because it is the number one most fun/amazing challenge you will ever put yourself through. All you have to do is write fifty thousand words in 30 days, which is 1667 words a day, no problem right? If you're not doing NaNoWriMo this project might explain why your fellow Movellians disapear for a month!

The first feverish week of November is here and we want to know how it’s going. We’ve done something a little different for this competition because we know you’re already writing furiously. Submit the first 5,000 words of your NaNoWriMo story entry, and get a head start on your December editing. Entering a competition is one way to get feedback on your writing, which might be helpful for plot ideas as the month goes on.
