Being a writer is about more than writing, in the age of social media and digital platforms you have to know how to promote yourself. Movellas are therefore running a competition that gives you the chance to learn these skills and put them in to practice.

To make things a little bit easier and less time consuming, we know this is a busy time for everyone, we have narrowed down what you have to do to enter the competition. Simply design a poster or youtube trailer for any Movella on the site (it can be your Movella, but it would work better to choose someone elses that has been overlooked or that you really like). Then post the poster or video to our facebook wall and let us know it is for this competition.
You can win an internship and some cool Ally Capellino bags. We will give you until the end of July to enter, so start desinging!
It will be judged by designer Ally Capellino designer Alison Lloyd, the Movellas team, and Hot Key Books’ Sales & Marketing manager Sarah Benton, the winner of this competition will receive a short internship within our marketing department and a beautiful Ally Capellino bag. As a competition winner and with our tailored internship, it will be the thing on your CV that makes you stand out from the crowd.
Alison, Sarah and Movellas will look at everything we have been sent and decide on an eventual winner. The designer will win an Ally Capellino bag, one for her/him and one for the author of the Movella!
Alison Lloyd, of British accessories brand Ally Capellino will be judging this year entries and is offering the winner of each category a bag from her highly covetable AO range of bags. Made from tough canvas and accented in leather with embossed AO logos, these discreet and stylish bags will perfectly fit a range of laptops and tablets.
The first 2 satchels are suitable for an iPad, 11" MacBook Air etc Choose from navy or khaki The 3rd photo is of the narrow despatch suitable for up to a 13" and finally the wide despatch suitable for up to a 15". Both styles come in a charcoal and khaki. Worth up to £165.
Sarah Benton is the Sales & Marketing manager at Hot Key Books, an exciting new children’s publishers, which is part of the Bonnier group. She started her career as a Marketing Assisant at Macmillan, where she worked with authors and illustrators such as Meg Cabot, Eva Ibbotson, Frank Cottrell Boyce, Emily Gravett and Julia Donaldson, before moving to Hammersmith to join HarperCollins Children’s Books. For four years she managed major marketing campaigns for Skulduggery Pleasant, Michael Morpurgo, Darren Shan, David Walliams, Oliver Jeffers and many more.
