Waking the dead

1. Waking the dead

I hear the screams and crying all day all night,

And I cannot sleep; there is no peace inside.

Someone is waiting for her till the end of his life,

Someone is praying to send him back for one last time.

I wish I could do something to take their pain away,

But I cannot feel my hands as I am lying in my grave.

Please leave me alone, I will share your prayers,

Your friends are in a better place, please do not care.

For so long I have been trying to stay in my tiny cage.

Now I fear, I may never get out from this rotting stage.

There is no one lying beside me but I could not let it go

Before I am stuck here forever, father, take me home….
