"RACHEL, GET UP NOW! MARA IS HERE!"

                   I sat straight up and checked the clock. Overslept again, Rachel? I thought as I stood up and stretched. My best friend, Mara and I were heading out down-town to shop and catch up on the latest gossip. Mara and I have been friends since I was in 6th grade and she, in 5th. I am a senior in high school now, and Mara is a junior. I threw on a bright orange sweatshirt, skinny jeans, and uggs. I rushed downstairs and there was Mara, sitting down and eating some pancakes. I sat down and poured the syrup. 

                   After I was done, I signaled Mara to stop listening to my mother drag on and on about something. "Ready?" I asked. "Yeah, ready!" I grabbed my keys and walked out the door with Mara following me. We starting singing at the top of our lungs and dancing like idiots to the song "What The Hell" by Avril Lavigne. We were in my blue Dodge Nitro. All of the sudden Mara screamed and was hyperventilating.
