From Another World.

1. Crash.

I slowly open my eyes and find myself lying in a pile of meal, with dead bodies scattered on the floor around me. The last thing I remember is sitting in the back of the spaceship, as it spiraled out of control towards Earth. I take it that's where I am now. I rub my head as I sit up and look around, taking in my surroundings. The sky is a grey-blue colour, different from the crimson and oranges I'm used to in Yeron. My leg stings, and I look down at it to find dried blood in a trail down my leg. Then the realisation dawns on my. Where could my parents be? They were at the other end of the spaceship, talking to their friends when the accident happened. I stand up, and lift a heavy piece of scrap metal off my foot. It's hard to know where to walk, what with all the bits of broken spaceship everywhere.

It takes me a while to find my parents. And when I do... it breaks my heart. I knew that almost everyone was dead after the crash but.... I was hoping that maybe... maybe there was some hope for them. I see them and shake them, trying to wake them, but their skin is cold and their chests don't move. My eyes well up with tears, but I will myself to stay strong. What's the use in crying when there's nothing I can do to save them! I shout, to see if anyone's alive, but there's no response. I even stroll around for a while checking people, to see if they're breathing, but no one is alive.

It looks like I'm alone.
