~Sammi's POV~

"Sammi?"

I looked up and saw my boss, Melissa, looking at me expectantly.

"I have to run a few errands, do you mind staying for another hour?" She asked, hopefully.

"Erm, sure," I agreed. I pulled out my phone and started a new text to my friend, Kayla. 'Have to work extra today... raincheck tomoro? Xx' I sighed, and put my phone down.

This was my second year working at Starbucks, and Melissa was always adding to my shifts.

Just then, I heard someone walk over to the counter. "What can I get for you?" I asked, still looking down, as I slid my phone into my bag under the counter.

"Um, I'll have..." My head suddenly jolted up. I recognized this voice.

"Harry?!" I asked, my face lighting up. A huge grin spread across his face. He reached across the counter, and pulled me into a hug, lifting me slightly over the counter.

"Hey, Sam," He said happily, as he put me back down.

"I've missed you so much!" I said, grinning like an idiot.

He looked even more attractive than I remembered. Harry and I grew up together in Holmes Chapel, but when I was 14 my family moved to the US, and we had pretty much lost touch. He and I had been best friends since we were born, and I'd secretly been in love with him for as long as I could remember. I knew he would never feel the same way, so I would always try my best to hide it. I didn't want to ruin our friendship.

"I've missed you too, babe!" He grinned.

"I get off in an hour-" I started.

"Then I'll be back in 59 minutes, and we'll do something fun," He grinned, and then winked. He was even more adorable than I remembered.

~Harry's POV~

The last 45 minutes went by so slowly. I couldn't stop thinking about Sammi.

Don't get me wrong, she'd always been very pretty, but I never really thought much of it. She had just been Sammi to me. My best friend.

She looked so much older now, and she was beautiful... And the way her smile lit up the room... Oh my god, what was I thinking? She would never like me that way. I have to stop myself, before this gets too far, I thought.

I checked my watch, and decided to head over to Starbucks now so I would get there exactly 59 minutes after I had told her. Why had I said that? She must have thought I was trying to flirt or something. Ugh, now she must think I'm a loser. Wait, why did I care? She knew I was a loser... And why was I suddenly so nervous?

I saw Starbucks up ahead, and stopped walking to calm myself down. This had to stop. Sammi is my best friend, nothing to be nervous about. I'm just going to hang out with my best friend. That's it.

I told her we would do something fun... Maybe I'd invite her over to hang out with the lads. That would be great, some best friend bonding time. It would be a good reminder of the old times with her, take my mind off of whatever craziness it was going through right now...

I pushed open the door to Starbucks and saw Sammi look up, and then flash her perfect smile at me. This was going to be harder to ignore than I thought...
