Prologue.

I was never one to let my past define my future.

Never one to let it get in the way of me living my life.

But everyone has that one moment, one person, in their past that never seems to go away.

They haunt your every movement, and you can never get away from them no matter how hard you tried.

Some people might have been able to move on and live their life eventually somehow forgetting about them, but not me.

Not me, because every time I turned around, it was like he was staring right back at me and no matter how hard I tried to run from him, going as far as to the other side of the world, his still smiling blue eyes somehow managed to haunt me every step of the way.

Sometimes I would fall into the dark corners of my past, reliving the horrid memories of my past, yet other times, I’d fall into the lighter more carefree memories, both of which he was a major role in.

He had the ability to make me laugh and smile when no one else could. Yet at the same time, he was the only one who pushed me so far to the edge that I had to eventually leave.

Leave him, the happy memories and the sad memories that came with him.

Or at least I tried to leave them behind.

But I was never one to be lucky, and it seemed I never would be because no matter how hard I tried, the past continued to haunt me.

And no matter how much I wanted to, I could never forget.

But, in the end, this could all be due to a little something called…. FATE.
