Stuck in the middle

1. First and final chapter

It used to be quiet; peaceful almost,
Until those humans came,
Death is all I see now,
Nobody gives a damn.

There is no right any more,
It's just all wrong.

Maybe they will stop,
Some days I think they have,
Then they set them off again,
It turns into a whirlwind of fire and death.

There is no right any more,
It's just all wrong.

Every day I stand here,
Rain or shine,
I wave my branches to signal I need help,
But nobody understands.

There is no right any more,
It's just all wrong.
