I don't know where to start. So much has happened since I ran away from the village. Becoming the Aglaia. Almost falling into eternal sleep. Meeting the girl-- the girl who comes from another world, and yet is one of us.

Perhaps I will just start at the beginning.

My name is Ebony. I once thought that the world I lived in was the only one existing. In truth, I never thought about it. I was happy to live here in my village, playing with my friends and going about my business under the shadow of the Kingdom Castle. Watching the blood-red skies of morning fade to a brilliant blue by noon, and then to a soft pink by night. I never thought there could be more: more ways to move about than by foot or horse. I never thought there were more ways to speak than using our garbled tongue, insufficient for what we sometimes have to express. And I definitely never thought there could possibly be more ways to live.

How wrong I was.

There are many more ways to move. Many more ways to speak. And definitely many, many more ways to live.
