I walked down the hallway alone until a girl popped up in front of me.

“Hi, is it Alice?” she said with a big smile.

“Yeah”

“I’m Melody. We’re in the same classes. I checked...”

“Yeah. Hi.” She had wavy, light brown hair and a really nice smile. I knew we would become good friends. We walked to the cafeteria together. It was a quiet and awkward walk. I could see that she want to ask me something but she was probably to shy to ask but she eventually did.

“How...” She hesitated. “How did you do it?”

“Uh, do what?”

“I mean, no one can talk to Jordan. He always sits alone mysteriously. Every time someone would try to start a conversation with him, he either walk away or ignore us. Strange isn’t it?”

“Yeah, strange that he would talk to me.” I made a face. He probably thinks I’m cute? Well, Melody is also pretty. Why does he want to talk to me?

When we arrived at our lunch table, there were some people waiting. They were Melody’s friends.

“Alice, this is Kristina, Luke and Henry ” She introduce. They all looked friendly as well.

I sat there pretending to look around but actually i was looking at Jordan. This time, he wasn’t staring at me, but I was staring at him. Does he like me? Does he think I’m weird? All of a sudden, he looked at me so i looked away. I smiled thinking he does like me. When I looked back, he was gone.
