The others stood a few yards behind me starring at me. Blake had a certain thing that I've never seen in anyone else. He could see what I was feeling... I watched him start stepping out the door.
"You've been accepted," I said loudly enough for him to hear. His eyes widened and I could see the sudden change of his emotions vibrating through the air. A big smile grew across his face and he looked me in the eyes. I suddenly felt happy, like his gentle smile had made my day and I had forgotten about my previous problems.
"Thank you," he said with happiness ringing from his voice. He hugged me tightly. Amazement surged through my body making my tummy feel warm. Almost all of the others stood there amazed as well. I blushed slightly and back away from the hug. I smiled as warmly as possible hoping to bring off attention from my pinkish red cheeks. He smiled and looked down at the floor hiding his blush that just came upon his face. The others looked at each other as if one of them should have an explanation.
"I'll show you to your room," I said smiling. I walked ahead of him and started walking upstairs. I walked across the long hall that was filled with bedrooms. I glances at Victoria's room knowing it was still locked. His room was 2 doors away from mine. Next to him was an empty room and the room keeping us apart was Janette's. I opened the door for him and I walked in the room after him. All the rooms in the house were fairly large. Almost all the same size. I pointed at the closet on the right side of his room.
"Well... uh... that's the closet," I said awkwardly. I scolded myself in my head for sounding obvious.
"Oh really?" he said laughing softly. I laughed with him.
"I'll let you get used to your room. There's clothes in the closet that will hopefully fit you and if not then we can go shopping later on this week," I said with joy in my voice. He nodded and smiled. I stepped out of the room and walked down the hallway towards the stairs. As I was walking by I saw Victoria's door start opening slowly. I stopped by her door and starred at Victoria as she started stepping out. She turned around and jumped, fore she was not expecting me.
"I'm sorry," I said quietly.
"Leave me alone! You ignored what I asked you to do and declined him because of one of his little mistakes!" she yelled at me with anger in her voice.
"Little? He slapped you! If you call that little then whats a bigger mistake!? Him beating you!? I'm trying to help you," I said trying to sound calm but obviously failing.
"You're so... so... UGH! You don't care about how I feel. I forgave him!" she said angrily.
"Well, I didn't! You're like my little sister. You're only 13! You shouldn't let anyone slap you!" I said as my voice started sounding more in pain. I blinked my eyes to avoid tears. She turned around and ran downstairs making loud footsteps. I turned around and saw Blake standing by his door. I walked past him and walked into my room. I sat beside the bed and buried my face into a pink pillow with a green shiny border. I held in the tears because I knew it was only a sign of weakness.
Just then I heard knocking. I wondered who it could be... Janette, Blake, Romeo, Jennifer, Ryan, but not Victoria, of course...
